Carnival Cruise Line (Carnival) has notified the Federal Maritime Commission that it intends to compensate passengers who were on board the CARNIVAL LIBERTY when a fire occurred in the vessel’s engine room on September 7, 2015.

In a letter to those passengers, Carnival’s President, Ms. Christine Duffy, stated that they will receive a full refund of their cruise fare and a 50% discount on a 2-7 day Carnival cruise. Passengers must sail by September 8, 2017. This compensation is in addition to the $150 per person credit already extended to passengers. Additionally, Carnival stated that it will reimburse passengers for transportation and parking costs. Passengers should send completed reimbursement forms with any supporting documentation to guestcare@carnival.com. For more details, contact Carnival at 800-929-6400.
