Commissioner Maffei Addresses Marine Transportation System Innovative Science and Technology Conference
Commissioner Dan Maffei will speak at the Sixth Biennial Marine Transportation System Innovative Science and Technology Conference: Advancing the Marine Transportation System through Automation and Autonomous Technologies: Trends, Applications and Challenges on Monday, March 15th.
From the Transportation Research Board of the U.S. Committee on the Marine Transportation System (CMTS):
Convened by Transportation Research Board, the Sixth Biennial Marine Transportation System Innovation Science and Technology Conference will be held on March 15 – 17, 2021 online. In partnership with the U.S. Committee on the Marine Transportation System (CMTS), the conference will showcase current and emerging innovative science and technologies related to maritime transportation. The theme will be “Advancing the Marine Transportation System through Automation and Autonomous Technologies: Trends, Applications, and Challenges.”
Participants from government, industry, and academia will examine the rapidly evolving applications of autonomous and automated technologies. Through engaged discussion and debate with noted thought leaders, directed panelists, and leading scientists and engineers, we will explore the direction, technical challenges, enabling technologies, and potential hurdles to successfully navigate the future of the marine transportation system.

Commissioner Dye Addresses NITL Transportation Summit
Commissioner Rebecca Dye will speak on the topic of “Ocean Transportation: Trends, Predictions, and Opportunities” as part of the National Industrial Transportation League’s (NITL) 2021 Transportation Summit. Commissioner Dye’s remarks will take place from 12:45-1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Mary 17, 2021. The event is not limited to NITL members, but there is a charge to attend.
