Commissioner Vekich to Address International Wood Products Association Annual Convention

Commissioner Max Vekich will address the International Wood Products Association’s 67th Annual World of Wood Convention at a session entitled “Trade in Motion” where he will address implementation of OSRA 2022 and provide an update of FMC activities. Commissioner Vekich Participating on Panel at CONECT’s 27th Annual Trade & Transportation Conference

Commissioner Max Vekich will participate on a panel entitled “FMC Update—Ocean Transportation, the Latest on OSRA22, the Data Sharing Initiative—What it Will Mena for Your Business” at the Coalition of New England Companies for Trade’s (CONECT) 27th Annual Trade & Transportation Conference. Chairman Maffei Speaking at Bistate Motor Carriers Event

Chairman Daniel Maffei will address the Association of Bi-State Motor Carriers at their January meeting where he will speak about the Federal Maritime Commission 2023 agenda. The event is open only to members of the Association of Bi-State Motor Carriers.
Commissioner Dye Meeting with Harbor Truckers
January 14, 2023 | Palm Springs, CA
Commissioner Rebecca F. Dye will meet with the Board of the Harbor Trucking Association (HTA) to address the industry outlook for 2023, and how it will shape the agenda of the Federal Maritime Commission for the coming year. Topics Commissioner Dye will discuss include implementing recommendations from Fact Finding Investigation 29 Final Report, and an effort to address “bottleneck” issues at the ports created by current industry practices concerning container return, early return dates for containers, and merchant haulage. The meeting is closed to the public.

Commissioner Louis Sola Speaking at Pyrotechnics Association Conference

Commissioner Louis Sola will speak during the Regulatory Review session of the American Pyrotechnics Association’s (APA) “APA Winter Education Conference” where he will discuss the topics of the Ocean Shipping Reform Act of 2022 as well as demurrage and detention. Chairman Maffei & Commissioner Bentzel Speaking at TPM23

Chairman Daniel Maffei and Commissioner Carl Bentzel will speak at TPM23. Chairman Maffei will speak at a session entitled “Delivering on OSRA 2022’s Promises: A Townhall Discussion With FMC Chairman Daniel Maffei” and Commissioner Bentzel will speak at the “What’s Next for the Maritime Transportation Data Initiative: Resetting the Post-Pandemic Supply Chain With New Data Requirements” segment of the program. Commissioner Max Vekich will be speaking to the Pacific Northwest Waterways Association (PNWA) during its “Mission to Washington” program on March 20, 2023 on the topics of OSRA 2022 implementation and ways the Commission is able to further address supply chain challenges, with a particular focus on the challenges affecting the Pacific Northwest.
