The Commission issued an Industry Advisory about self-executing provisions of the Ocean Shipping Reform Act of 2022 (PL 117-146).

FMC Approves $2 Million Settlement Agreement with Hapag-Lloyd

The Federal Maritime Commission approved a settlement agreement reached between its Bureau of Enforcement and Hapag-Lloyd AG where the ocean carrier will pay a $2 million civil penalty to address alleged violations related to their detention and demurrage practices.
